Liebster Award Time

I was nominated for an award a few days ago by girlnecessities and I was a bit skeptical about the nomination, being that I so recently started up this blog. But after doing some Googling I found this award – called the Liebster Award – to be a legitimate recognition of a blog that’s just beginning to bloom. So excuse my late participation in the blog-land awards, as I graciously accept and continue the nominations!

Apparently the rules are to state 11 random facts about yourself, answer the 11 questions posed to you, then ask 11 more questions to 11 different nominees of your choosing. The blogs you choose, however, have to have less than 200 followers. I suppose this is to allow them a chance at the spotlight and give their blog some more readers. Here goes!

 
Eleven random facts about me:

1 – I went to school for journalism & moving image arts.

2 – My hair has been every color of the rainbow.

3 – If I’m not baking, I’m reading.

4 – I pretty much hate sports except for hockey. I like the fights.

5 – I play the piano.

6 – I speak Spanish fluently and French not-so-fluently.

7 – I want to travel the world and have been to Peru, Italy, France, and Switzerland.

8 – My favorite color is green.

9 – I’m Peruvian-American.

10 – Film noir is my favorite genre of movies. Horror is a close second; there’s something about the gore.

11 – I grew up on punk music.

1. How would you describe your style?
Vintage-inspired rebel threads.

2. What do you like most about yourself?
I think I write and bake pretty well.

3. What is you favorite food?
Pizza! Hands down. Buffalo chicken pizza, to be exact.

4. Why did you start your blog?
I love writing and baking. I needed an outlet for both my words and my sweet creations. I want to record the path I take towards my goals and share the journey with all you lovely people .

5. What do you spend most of your time doing?
Probably reading/writing. Then baking & writing about baking.

6. Savory or sweet?
Is it weird that I prefer savory over sweet? But I love baking sweets over cooking savory meals? Oh well.

7. When is your birthday?
March 24th.

8. What is your favorite TV show?
Currently, The Walking Dead & Dexter.

9. How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been an avid reader of blogs for years but only recently have had the courage to start up my own about a month ago. I’ve been writing forever, though.

10. If you could do anything, what would you do?
I would travel the world.

11. What is your favorite color? And does it reflect your personality?
It’s green but I’m not sure how it would reflect my personality.
